Callaway X-22 Tour irons - any opinions?

Has anyone used the Callaway X-22 Tour irons? Any feedback welcome.

For a "tour" iron they are still a little chunky but they hit great and are plenty forgiving.

I have them and I like them. Like everything else there's newer/ better available,
But they'll do me nicely for the mo!

I have 3 friends with them and they all love them. One of them even bought a new set of shiny titleists and ended up selling them at a loss and going back to the x22s

Good premium club suitable for a good range of decent golfers, and reasonable value even at the current offer prices charged by a well known golf multiple.

Not sure they're really any better or better looking than the X20 Tour but still a very good set of clubs.

Many thanks all. I bought a set today over the phone and I have never seen or hit one so I feel reassured after your replies.

Two rounds with Mizuno irons was enough for me! Lovely when out of the middle but not forgiving enough for my level of skill! Mizuno memories will stay with me though, especially a pure 180 yard 5 iron to 3 feet at Piltdown that felt absolutely perfect. This is tempered by a shot with the same club at Goodwood Downs last week. Hit a really long drive on a par 5 then caught the 5 iron slightly thin and it went nowhere. The punishment outweighed the crime and I knew at that moment that Mizuno and I are not suitable for each other!

Callaways just arrived. I am impressed. Nice looking clubs.

They will get their first outing on Thursday as I have a game arranged at Crowborough Beacon. I used to love it there but they let anyone in now apparently. ;-)
