Had my current X18's for 5 years now and thinking of upgrading them.

Mentioned to our assistant pro and he said have a hit with Peter's , our pro, as he's probably getting the new irons that are coming out soon.

His are the forged ones and stiff shaft . A few out to the right but majority with a soft draw or soft fade, very manoeuvrable. Sits well behind the ball and hoping he'll let me take thenm out for my round tomorrow.

Any thoughts on them ?

I changed from X20 tours to Razr X forged and they are superb irons, highly recommended.

When you are on song the razr's are awesome. Buttery soft, terrific feel, workable and penetrating flight.

However..... There are days when i miss my x20's

The Razr's are not very forgiving and you need your 'A' game to play them. There are some days when my timing is off and i would be better with my X20's, At the moment i'm having more good days than bad so the Razr X Forged are staying.

So if you are striking the ball well then i say go for it.

Im nowhere near as good as you guys but I changed from Callaway fusions which are prob more forgiving than X18's and went to MP53 which are suppposed to be 'players' clubs. I got the right shaft and love them, I say if the shafts right then go for it.....
