Amazing ride so far in today's MotoGP. Broke his ankle in the warm up yesterday, missed qualifying so started the race at the back of the grid. He's currently up to seventh.

Hugely impressed, I can't even imaging riding a motorbike with an injury like that never mind racing at 200 mph!

Seen little bits of this, I'm impressed as well.."

Premiership footballers: TAKE NOTE!

He was also lapping at the same speed as the leaders over the last 10 laps. His ankle was dislocated and fractured, the hospital had told him he would be unable to race !!!

Deserves a foctory ride as soon as one becomes available. If Spies doesn't pull his finger out of his backside it will be his ride Cal takes over.
I remember last season when Colin Edwards broke hiss collar bone. Op on the same day as he did it and back racing 1 WEEK later.

Takes a lot to keep these guys out of the races. I remember Lorenzo a few years back had a few bad crashes but was still racing - his crew practically had to carry him on and off the bike but he was still pushing.

Cal yet again has shown he's a class act .....

More likely Dovizioso to replace Spies, but maybe Cal to Ducati or Honda.

Also well done to Scott Reading who had a brilliant second in Moto2. Well worth watching the race if you have Eurosport or the BBC if they repeat it.

Cal is already in talks with Ducati if you listen to the rumour mill. He was warned that taking a factory Ducati ride could be career suicide, he said I can tame it and win... Confident chap considering Rossi can't tame it!

FFS shhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I will watch moto2 and 3 later!
I can't see why Yamaha would have Dovi take over from Spies when they have Cal who is already used to the Yamaha system and would cost them alot less than taking on a rider from another team even if they are out of contract.
Cal is the natural choice and Yamaha will either have to move a rider on or have three riders in the factory or satellite team as honda have this year.

There was talk earlier in the week about Bradley Smith joining Cal at Tech3 next year.On this seasons performances, you'd have to think that Spies is getting the boot for 2013,so likely to be a toss up between Cal and Dovi for the factory ride.

Got to be honest I don't think Smith is anywhere near ready for a MotoGP ride. I would rather see Scott Reading going up before him.

Bradley smith to tech 3 moto gp is already a done deal and has been for about a year. This seasons performances are bad due t the bike not being up to speed, nt the rider, the team have openly admitted that. Whether he is ready or not, he will be in moto go next year...

On the surface it appears that way but you have to consider that Bradley is on a one-off chassis whereas Scott is on a championship winning chassis.

Also it's a done deal that Bradley will be in Tech 3 next year but I do feel that Scott is the better rider and will excel in MotoGP if and when he gets a move.
