Bye Bye Sand wedges

I am looking at some new irons and these days they all seem to be 3 or 4 to PW.
Therefore if you are buying a wedge seperatley to act as your sand wedge what loft and bounce should you get please ?

56 deg and 8-12 would be regarded as standard. Though anything from 50-60 will work with any bounce, personal pref really.

depends on the sand / and lies at your club. you dont want too low a bounce in a bunker and you dont want lots of bounce if you have a lot of tight lies.

vokey website explains it all very well. 56 degree is good loft out of sand imo

If the pitching wedge in the new set is 48 deg then get a gap wedge of 52 and a sand wedge of 56. Check the loft gaps in the set and maintain that gap in the wedges for consistancy through the set.
