Where's the best place to buy clubs with a specific shaft online???, this is something I've never done before.

Best 2 I can think of with a good range of shafts etc are Clubhouse Golf and Snaiton Golf. Always seem to have a good selection on the current year ranges.

golf buy it online offer a full custom fit option

plus they have a sale on at the moment 10% off everything, if you're looking at a new full set you can save yourself quite a bit
i've ordered some mizuno jpx 825 irons from them for £435, there £500 or so everywhere else...

Where abouts are you based? Online fitting may work, but in my experience people's swings differ. Someone of 6ft + could have a flag lie, today I fitted a customer of 5ft5" ish 1 degree upright.
Please pop to a local pro or good custom fitter and have the clubs sorted for your swing.

Ok, I have ordered what I want from golfbuyitonline
. I agree the online custon fit is crap so Just to clear up the custom fit scenario, I have been properly fitted by a local fitter. I only opted to have the driver and 3 wood at the time by now as i had bought a hybrid not so long ago, I put them in my bag and my hybrid doesn't match so I decided I wanted to get it aswell. Obsessive I know!!! I called the person who fitted me who advised me to get the same shaft as the other 2. His price was a bit much so I was looking online which has worked out a bit cheaper.

If you know that you are +2 degrees upright and 1/2in longer shafts and been recommended a certain shaft in irons then you are buying custom fitted clubs. They are not std and customised to your specs.

it is customised but not custom fit. i think thats what hes getting at.

You also have to consider how long ago you were fitted. If the figures you have are from a previous fitting a year or more ago, chances are they are no longer accurate.

Also take into account different manufacturers lie angles and other factors, as they are all different. I read somewhere that different shafts work better/worse with different heads, so getting this right is also pretty improtant.

IMHIO, if you're NOT in a booth, with a fitter, a lie board, a selection of heads and shafts and, maybe a Trackman/Flightscope. You're not being custom fit.

Seems I was a bit late to this but I was going to say to e-mail them and ask for their best price, they will often give a discount on the online price. Still you'll know for next time...

There's a difference between buying a club/s that is/are 'your spec' and one/those that is/are 'custom fit'.

Think bespoke suit versus selecting your size jacket and your size trousers from a catalogue.

In the case of irons, there is also the knowledge (hopefully) that they are properly matched, something that rarely happens even when 'specially built' by OEMs.
