Not wanting to hijack the other thread about distance to your club...........
If you were house-hunting, would a good course nearby influence your decision to buy a certain house? Would no golf course nearby mean you wouldn't buy a gorgeous house.
Have you moved to a house because of a nearby course and not told HID?

one of my mates had one of the best locations for a golfer i beleive possible.

Drive through one course (Addington Palace) to get to he's house, with the another green of another course(The Addington) about 40 yards from he's bedroom window.

Just wondering....do you think being so close would effect the price? Good or Bad?

When we next move I am certainly looking to be close to a good course, HID wouldn't mind.

Actually looking at moving at the moment and one option is right next to Belton Park Golf Club so that has reached the top of my list so only need to convince HID now.

I think it would certainly be a consideration but if I moved locally Ascot is still reachable pretty easily and is fairly central. If we decided to move furhter afield then I'd definitely be checking courses out first

Can't answer the question as Mrs Management decides lofty matters like that - but- I did buy my current house whilst playing the Woosnam course at Dale Hill

I had an offer refused on the first of two consecutive par 5's on the back 9 - revised the offer and had it accepted by the next!

Result!

For sure it's going to be at the top of my list. My current place is too far from the courses in my area. I just need the housing market to stabilise first and the banks to offer better mortgage rates!
