Burnham and Berrow Green Vandalised

This was at my local course
I remember it. The first par 3 (4th hole?) was out of commission for quite a while wasn't it? Lovely course, used to play it frequently when a friend was a member there.

Yeah that’s the one.
They kept trying to repair the green, ended up ripping it up & starting again.
It is a nice course, overpriced now tho imo.

I played B&B on Wednesday. Greens were absolutely fine, the damage is cosmetic at the moment, but I assume at some point they will have to returf the areas as the grass will not grow back.

I have a video of my mate putting across the green but I don't know how to load it here (can only figure out how to upload photos).

That was the case at Woolley park.

They will probably need to go down a few inches it depends how much weed killer was used as it contaminates the soil under the turf.

We have had a few problems with e-bikes but fortunately nothing like this.

They must really have a grudge given the price of weed killer now!

If it was glyphosate there will be no long term damage to the soil as it rapidly degrades

We had a quad biker rip up our 15th green late summer last year. It is just starting to recover now, following a lot of unnecessary time and effort by the greens staff.

The worry is that while the security around the course has been stepped up, it is only token and any determined effort by anyone who wanted to could cause untold damage.

I suppose it is the same for any and all courses.
