Like Berkhamsted, weird though because it didn't look like anything was missing, i think it has enough other hazards etc so it doesn't need any.

I've never played it but I believe there is a course at Chatsworth House with no bunkers

Yes Chatsworth G.C situated in the estate. 9 holes 18 tees, the story I heard when I played was no bunkers as the Duke couldn't get out of bunkers. It can be played as it has the odd open, but I think it was originally for people working on/for the estate.

We may as well have no bunkers..
We have 6 and only 3 1/2 of them are really in play.
I say 3 1/2 as 1 is a fairway bunker that is fairly easy to miss.......
3 are greenside but I so rarely go in then it makes life hard when I go to away courses and there's hundreds...don't get much chance to practice..

Been a while since I played there but I think the little nine hole course in the grounds of Westonbirt House is bunkerless.

Think your right. I have played there, there was an honesty box to pay your green fee.

My Wife's family lived just down the road from there.
