I was there ?. Happy days. I was sat in with the Watford fans but no one cared. A proper old school cup final with fans happily mixing, unlike the following year against utd which was horrible.

2nd replay of FA Cup quarter final. OK so Sunderland won, never mind. They went on to final, but lost to Villa, but won the league, so close to the double.
Grandad's two brothers played in this match, Wilf for the Toon and Harry on the other side. Both originally from Aberdeen.

I’ve been lucky enough to do lots of good sporting events, including a Boxing Day Ashes test at the MCG, which wasn’t all its cracked up to be... miles away from the action, virtually alcohol free beer, and an England team that had already lost before we got on the plane probably didn’t help! It certainly was as good a day as the last day of the 05 Ashes at The Oval!
