Broke 80

Weh hey broke 80 today,finished birdy birdy for a gross 77,my handicap had been reviewed for the coming season and had been reduced to 16,my target was 13 for 2012 so feel its almost achievable.
Thanks to whoever recommended the pump drill,seems to have helped my OTT swing,that along with a putting grip tip off my pro all seems to be falling into place.
Shot an 84 yesteday with a disastrous 9 and have got a game tomorrow to see that it is not just a flash in the pan,roll on first comp!!!

I've never broke 80 on my own course until last week now I've done it 3 times since :whoo: I'd like to think the lessons working but it's the winter route just now and mats so can't wait for the normal golf to start

Well here is some hope for you! I got down from 17 to 12 in a year (summer 2010-11) and my best scores in that time was one 81, two 82s an a heck of a lot of 84s! Not a single round under 80!

South Winchester is fab and good rates (£36)

Royal Winch and Hockley are very good too but more expensive.

Avoid Chilworth and the Parkland course at East Horton

Further afield there some good courses Meon valley etc but I know very little outside of the Winchester/north side of Southampton area.

If I am still around here I will be happy to give a single figure player like yourself a game. I might have moved to Cambridge by then though!

Ha ha,wheels fell off today though...bogey golf ,3 doubles and a no return !!!!Short game was laughable.
