I do voluntary teaching of gardening at a local primary school.
A few of weeks ago I sowed about 10 rows of different vegetables.
I carefully told the children how important it was to remember what seeds you have planted.
So we all made large wooden tallys with the names of what we have sown and placed them at the ends of the rows.
I checked them today to find out that one of the little darlings had gone to the bother of changing all of the tallys round.
Thankfully I was able to identify and rectify.

That's nothing!

Down here the little tykes would have chucked the tallys in the bin, stomped what was about to shoot and nicked anything that had!

Do you know that this is my 3rd year and apart from that bit of 'fun' they haven't broken a thing.
A few tattie shaws lifted in eager anticipation last year but they did 'replace' them very carefully.
