no, have looked into it. i think it has a place in anonymous purchases. read porn etc. the exchange rate is poor, and i believe its not viable really for "normal" businesses... IMHO. paypal is better.

The exchange rate isn't poor it is around €80 to one coin I am think. Fairly limited market though I do know a few folk that used to "mine" them as a collaboration.

It used to be a lot easier, but has become increasingly less profitable, to the point where running costs outweigh harvesting incomes.
Another option is botnet harvesting, using a network of multiple computers/servers eg, university,
although this could get you into some trouble if caught

although now would not be the best time as they are really high at the moment, when I first bought they were about £7, too bad I sold them at about £21 when I thought that was high, they're worth about £80 now as some people have mentioned...
edit: actually it's about £200+ at the moment, spiked again by the look of it, no doubt from silkroad 2.0 launching, that makes me even more sad

All sounds too dodgy.
Some guy who "specialised" in keeping the things secure recently had his entire stash (and his customers) stolen. Its pretend money...don't bother.
