My good lady bought me a cookery day at Waitrose's new cookery school in London for next year. Is that a present that you'd welcome?

For the record, I can't wait

Sounds good Chris - can't say I knew Waitrose had that on offer.

You are posh though, the ALDI equivalent is a mobile chip van.

Personally yes, very much so. Enjoy cooking, never done one of those and new experiences can be very rewarding. Think it showed a good bit of imagination.

Over the last few years for birthdays/Christmas she has bought me

A round at Wentworth

A round at Sunningdale

Glider flying

Motor racing at Brands Hatch

Balloon flight

She's not a bad lass !

I'd be happy with that gift, as long as it also included travel and overnight accommodation!

Good choice. I'd love summats like this. Great idea. There's a restaurant near me does something similar. Has one Michelin star (does that mean the guys from Kwik Fit went there for dinner once??) and starts at about 250 a day.

Better than a motorised ball washer.

Probably that I should stick to golf

Just about to watch the Masterchef final for inspiration!

Chris

Wow great pressies Chris...good wife for sure :)

Don't like cooking but LOVE Masterchef - phew the pressure. I think Ash will win but would love to see Claire do it at such a tender age. They are all stunning though...

Great final Amanda wasn't it and, like you, I thought Ash would win but Claire was such a sweetie that I would have loved to see her win.

Funny , none of them did flapjacks!

Would love that present (in fact is now on the list for next year). I really enjoy cooking and would really like to improve. Would also like to do a course in indian, chinese and thai cookery as what I cook is all from books and wold love to understand the theory a bit more so as I can be creative.

Sounds a cracking prize. Just watched Masterchef and was it just me or were they just building Ash up and up from the beginning until it was inevitable he'd won. I love Clare and think at 22 she has arguably the most talent certainly in terms of doing so much so young. I think they can all be proud.

Whatever happens to the champions though. We never really seem to hear from them again or am I just moving in the wrong circles?

One of the day courses is on curry making - sounds right up your street
