Sorry I’m just still shocked that people have Beckham in as a player in the best ever British 11 !! I would have him in the most overrated and more style over substance. Very good right foot but better than players like Barnes , Waddle , Giggs , Coppell , even McManaman - never in a millions years for me.

I did see Matthew's and Finney play but they were both nearing the end of their careers and I wasn't really old enough to appreciate Duncan Edwards when I saw him.

Maybe early days but towards his last couple of season with us he was superb and then when he went to Madrid did really well to the point the players went mental when they were trying to sell him - winning two CL with them and being a key player.

He wasn’t at the level of Barnes or Waddle etc but would have him every day over Beckham

I think the fact that so much was made of his off fiield antics that people actually didn't give him enough credit. Granted he wouldn't run rings round players but for me when in the same team he was far more creative and productive than giggs.
 
Only Metalmickie seems to know anything about football on here, only person to put Greaves in the team.

Perhaps everyone should have a rethink and put Greaves down first and build your team around him. 😉

Or people didn’t ever see him live - hence why I couldn’t put him in and it would still be a tough call. But does help to read the OP 😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😉😂😂😂😂😂😂👍👍👍 ( to help understand it’s just a light bit of fun )

It’s like people putting Keane in 😂 when did he become a Brit ( could even say Best because he is NI and not part of Britain 😉 - I failed there as well 😂)

It is also amusing to see the “bias” of the players ie - not going to put him in because he plays for ........

I'd have to be finding places for... Adams, Cole, Moore, Charlton R, Greaves, Giggs, Shearer, Law, Neville G, Lampard...

That leaves quite a potential super team on the bench and pondering which formation...

Goalie, for me, being a relatively straightforward pick of Banks...
