I've had all of my clubs c/f'd at the Belfry.
They were done in stages, suggesting I was always happy to go back.
I also have lessons there which should suggest I'm happy with the service provided there.
As such I would recommend it. But I live in Derby, only 30-40 miles away, it may not be worth it for you distance-wise.
The main advantage I found was that you have the choice of so many brands that there should be something for everyone.
For example- when getting my new putter we went onto the practice green with one of each style of Taylor-Made putter (blade, small mallett, Goose neck, enormous mallett, etc etc etc).
From this we worked out which style best suited me.
Then we got the equivilent putter from: Ping, TM, Scotty, Odessey etc) and found I most liked the Scotty.
The same went for the driver, I must have tried 6 or 7 basic models before deciding on the FT-5.
