Being charged for lottery texts.

SWMBO has spotted that I,m being charged £3.50 a time to get texts that I've never asked for.Apparently they come from'a short reverse code'number(???)through o2 and other networks who allow this THEFT to go on.Has anyone any ideas how to get a stop put to this as I'm all for just taking a hammer to the phone!
SWMBO is going to go into the 02 shop in Paisley tomorrow to kick up but says that she isn't holding out much of a result as they allow this to go on(according to some www. she tracked down)

Googled the number 88227 and have now found a number to phone to get off data base-03332020480 will try this tomorrow!!!

Have you also checked out the number that you need to call to get off the database to make sure that number isn't premium rate or a scam?

Can you not just go online in your lottery account and unselect the check box for alert me by text.
