Would definitely agree that Beans have to be Heinz, Ketchup has to be Heinz and Brown Sauce has to be HP. These are unavoidable rules for living the Good Life. If you're one of those continental types who like Mayonnaise on chips then you are gonna have to let me know which is best. Hellmanns?

Don't care as long as they are Heinz. we have tried every other brand shaving the shopping budget as you do (with the lower brand challenge) and the one thing we can not skimp on, is Heinz beans.

Interesting thing the lower brand challenge, we tried it with loads of stuff and saved a shedload on our shopping budget! we now buy tesco value tea bags for 27p for 80x and the mrs can not tell the difference with them and PG tips.

In the past few months I've converted to Branston, a far better can of beans.

Thick & gooey for me.
Ideally poured over three sheets of toast covered in thick Lurpak & melted vintage mature cheddar cheese ..................... and then I pop a fried egg on each one!
Then a cup of tea and a Magnum Classic, oh yes, bring it on!

Slime.

All I know is Heinz have gone right down hill, their barred from our house hold and we are now firmly in the cross and Blackwell camp

Beans does not mean Heinz
