Is my first match for the club today what format do they normally play in these fixtures?

It varies! Is it a friendly or competitive? Could be singles or better ball, even foursomes if it is some sort of knockout or league match?

Current inter-club comp I've been playing in is handicap singles - next match is Wentworth way - but I doubt I'm going to be able to play in it

Back in the mid-80s/early-90s Bristol & Avon Golf League matches was played as 5 scratch singles matches - tough!

But I've also played lots of inter-club fourball.

our Inter club matches all are either 4BBB, Greensomes or Foursomes depending on the club, all are friendly's too.

But the league matches in the Moray and Nairn leagues and handicap and Scratch are single matchplay

All our friendly matches are 4BBB. Competitive matches tend to be singles

All ours are single matchplay. My season this year has been 11 played with 2 losses and 9 wins.
