sounds nice... ever had Orkney Stout? they do a reserve that's about 18% very nice drop. bit expensive for a beer, £20 for a 1L bottle

That's a very reasonable price for that abv. Never had that one.

Most I've spent so was £50 for a 330ml bottle of an aged Fuller's vintage.

I think nothing of the equivalent of £20 a pint when I'm ordering the high end beers on the market. Think of it like wine. An investment in top quality craft.

I may be wrong but I understood that Orkney Brewery produced cask ales which may subsequently be sold in bottles.

But then whisky barrels have themselves been used for sherry, port or bourbon.

In any event those are casks not kegs.
