Augusta National end of October..

you gunna post us a truthful score card of what you shot as well?.........

dunno, think I might be paying "Bubba" a few quid to have a magic pencil! The guy I will be playing with is big fish in corporate US, The americans always cheat we know this, just watch the Ryder Cup for examples!

Always,
Have a great time.....the deputy ed from GM played it ....got the lucky draw out of all the journo's at the end of Masters week. Unfortunately he couldn't finish all the holes as he had to catch a flight.......
Theres a review from him on the forum if you want his views of the course.....we were all as jealous as hell......

Looking forward to seeing the pics.

I know someone who has played it the past 2 years just before the Masters - stands up etc - and he shot 80 the first year off 7 - said it was awesome - he spent thousands in the shop on all sorts for himself, family and friends.

I knew someone who played there. He said he was surprised about how plain it looked and how open it is. Of course the condition of the greens, fairways etc were very good but it looks very different to when the masters is on.
I'm sure you'll have a great round and it's a chance of a life time to play it. Enjoy!

Cheers Guys, I have cancelled clients for the next two weeks to get some practice in! Think I will take advantage of the $ whilst over there for some toys also :)

Last two times I have been in the States, the $ rate has been so bad it has been cheaper to buy at home. By miles.

Judging by the array of 'Custom & ever so rare' clubs in your Bag already, what could you possibly find in an Edwin Watts shop that might interest you ?

Rare? Miura? not rare alot of the guys at our club play them, don't get me started on blades, you know what happened last time :)

Very lucky indeed, Life is always a case of whom you know, not what you know..

Augusta. You are a lucky man.

I have several friends who have played there and all say it is a hilly course but a fair test. They all also say that it is in a pretty grim area of the town which surprised me.

None of them say that it is the best course that they have ever played which I think is interesting in itself.

I hope you have a good trip and an enjoyable round.

Your comprehensive use of the term "dude" should stand you in good stead in the US. If you are over 18 stone then you should fit right in!
