Augusta National end of October..

Greetings Guys & Dolls, Have been invited to play at Augusta when it re-opens in October. Has anybody ever had the luck of playing there? My handicap is 4 (well nearly 5 now) anybody got any ideas of how many pairs of "under garments" to take with me, quite worried at the prospect of making a complete tool of myself Could I possibly grab some extra balls from Homer? lol

Apparently it's much hillier than it looks on tv. The course is wide open so with normal paced greens you have no excuse to score poorly!

Indeed, lucky is an under statement! What a small world, one of the members at Les Bordes is a CEO in the states and I played with him last week, got on like a house on fire..

Anybody want to carry my clubs to the gate? lol.. They are going to have to get a bucket of water and a crowbar to get me out of the Clubhouse there!

Posting here to ask if anyone else has played ANGC is a veil for a bit of boasting, if you ask me.

But since you ask, yeah, I play it all the time and it is crap. Don't bother.

As for undergarments, real men go commando at ANGC.

Its a bit like someone posting that they had been offered a shot at Angelina Jolie and asking whether anyone else been there and has any tips for how to satisfy her?

I have no fricking idea what the Super Trouper reference means. If it is to do with X Factor or Strictly Come Dancing, I would sooner chew off my arm at the shoulder and beat myself unconscious with the bloody stump than watch/listen to either.

And ANGC is possible to get on if you have some connections to the vulgar wealthy in corporate America. Pine Valley and Cypress Point are the real exclusive clubs in the US. Get on one of those.

I wasn't joking, if you invited me right now (even for free) I'd say "No thanks". Frankly it doesn't interest me, neither does St.Andrews, Pebble Beach, Valderrama or anywhere more than about 50 miles away.

You are right, I'm not married, I've been with her 18 years and told her many times that I'll get married when I find the right woman

If you are telling the truth - i have no doubt you are and you are playing ANGC, you had better take a [****] load of pictures and post them on here so I can have a look! I mean pics of every hole and where you end up so make sure you have plenty of SD cards in your camera!!

....as for asking what to wear I can kind of see how this could rub people up the wrong way. However, dress smarter than you ever have before! get some new clobber for it as well mate, you shud turn up looking like a new button because I certainly would be! Get plenty of souvenirs and savor every moment .

Indeed buddy, I am going to meet up with a pal of mine in Charlotte, not seen him since Uni days, its only a three hour drive or so down the AG, better buy a new alarm clock and make sure not to get too pissed the night before!

Will post the pics certainly.. over the pond we go....

I get worried when going up the road to Les Bordes, suppose the anguish will be quite different over there.. I would trade a deal with the devil just to make sure initial drive gets away ok!
