Ted's society has their Rider cup format comp there in March 09'. Info on the net is sparse to say the least. But we do have buggies and they're fitted with GPS.

Its a Seve Ballesteros designed course by all accounts.

Its nicknamed locally "el Diablo". Why you may be wondering? Well, its because it has six par 3's six par 4's and six par 5's, and no two par's follow each other.

So there is an element truth in the number of the beast being 666. Some of my regular playing partners would argue that the sequence of 666 is more like my opening 3 holes? :D

Neither do i! Our h'cap sec reckons it'll work and the way he's explained how does sound convincing.
But we can't wait. Its our 3rd Spanish trip, and if its anything like the other two, we're in for a ball. :D

Sure you'll have a goody, Ted.

I organise a golf trip to less exotic climes (Nairn) with by best pals from the pub every year. It's grown from 4 to 12 now and it's the highlight of the year for us. Never to be missed.

Have a look. It puts a big shiny smile on my face just looking forward to it.

Herb,

I've not played Forres in many a year although I did play it often in my junior Moray and Nairn League days. Lived in Nairn as a youth.

Still a nice course, I understand, although I tend to stick to the links courses when I go back there. Me no like trees!

It might get back on our rota for a wee change someday.

Nearly did!!! cost too much so played Las Rambles.

What did you think of Las Ramblas Parmo? Played it a few times now. A group of 12 go to Spain twice a year (March & November) and play a variety of courses for the 5 days. There are some great courses in the region, Hacienda De Alamo, La Fincha, La Manga, Villamartin, etc...

I've played the Alicante club a couple of times.

Terrific course, great layout and a good test of straight driving. No rough, only houses and water.

6 par 3's
6 par 4's
6 par 5's

Signature hole is the 9th which has an 'S' shaped water hazard near the green.

One of the best courses I have played.

We were based in Benidorm!! The course hotel looks lovely though.

Greens have been superb the twice I have played it. Shot a 76 when I played it this year for a handsome 42 stableford points!

I've bullied my Director's into taking me there next year if I hit my performance targets!

Loved the course and its going to be better with a new club house in a while. I popped down to La Fincha for a look and its nice, not played it though as I was on a HID golf budget!! I think Las Ramlas was about €45 each and top course, very hilly and I took a fall  on the second par 5.

My dad played Roda at the weekend and he said it was very good, played La Serena in July and it was a nightmare, water in play on 16 holes!!!
