That is bizarre. What is their thinking behind reducing the insurance for a 11-25% power increase?

SC....mine was a 2007 model which was 197BHP standard, the upgrade took it to 235BHP. On that car I went for a plug in module but thinking about a remap this time. Drop me a PM if you want any more details :thup:
LT....The girl I spoke to reckons that drivers who get the cars remapped tend to be 'better drivers' in the sense they are more into cars than someone who just 'drives about' and as a result tend to have fewer accidents. I kinda see where she is coming from.

Hmm interesting. I was thinking of getting mine chipped when the warranty runs out, but was worrying about higher insurance. Who are you with D4S?

Ahh, they weren't the cheapest when I was looking around last year.
Fair play. I'm on a Volvo forum and a number of people there have re-mapped their cars. Apparently it gives smoother power delivery, better economy and a boost in accelaration (I'm sure you know all of this already). I guessed at the latter but the first two were not what I expected. I can see why you would do it based on their findings.
