I have one of these free De Vere course vouchers and was thinking of going to Carden Park on Tuesday to play.

Does anyone know what condition the courses are in?
Should I play the Nicklaus or the Cheshire course?
Winter greens/tees?
Should I be playing a different De Vere course?
A mate wants to come and as per the voucher he will get 20% off the green fee, anyone know how much this is at the moment, it doesnt say anywhere on their website.

I can find most of this out by contacting them tomorow, just wondered what you guys think.

Thanks

I haven't been in over 18 months, however I much preferred the Cheshire out of the two. It has some real crackers of golf holes especially the back nine! 11,12,14,16,17,18 are all great holes. For a brief moment on 16 one could imagine you were on a Surrey course paying nearly 3 times as much! But, the drive on 18 makes the Cheshire worth it anyway alone.

Depends what you are looking for. If it is a real tough test The Nicklaus will be extremely long at the moment which combined with the vast quantities of water (even though half of it is pretty much a gimmick), will make it really tough!

However, if you are looking for a fun, more scenic course then choose the Cheshire.

I havnt played it since October but I much prefer the Cheshire course. As alreadu mentioned it has some great holes. I love the 18th with the raised tee.

I haven't played it since September last year, both courses are good, but I preferred the cheshire out of the two...Enjoy your day
