I suffered with migraines for over thirty years and like others on here it used to mainly be the stabbing pain in one eye or the other. They would last exactly three days and all I wanted to do was lie in a darkened, quiet room. Only people who have actually suffered from migraines will understand the depths of despair you can sink to, just praying for the pain to go away. I think you must become immune to taking tablets as I tried almost everything although Solpheidine (?) were ok. About three years ago my blood pressure medication was adjusted and bingo, fingers firmly crossed. I haven't even had a headache since. One thing I do agree on is eating at regular times during the day.
