Playing later on today, teeing off at 3.00pm on a course I've never played before.
Booked it up through "Teetimes.UK" for £10.00 per person. On a Sunday, that's incredible value for money. Private course too, not a municipal.
The price suggests a Goat Track.
I'll let you know
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Now we all know there is only one Lydd and it would take something pretty "special" to beat it. Lets face it when a club has a stableford on like it did the time I went and there are seven cars in the car park at 9.00am and one was Medwayjon's, one was HTL's and one was mine, and the members aren't playing there is a problem

Good breakfast though

The course with no name.

Spooky.

I've just heard, Smiffy is lining up his last 2' putt on the 18th.

He'll be on soon to tell us where this mystery course is, once he's managed to add up his score.

The rumour is, that could still take a while.

;)

Well what was it then the suspense is killing me (almost)

Apologies. Didn't get in until late and after having a bite to eat, promptly fell asleep!..... :o :o :o

Great course for the money. Not the best track I've played, but certainly not the worst (nowhere near it in fact) and a real golfing bargain for the green fee we paid.
We played here...

Played it off the whites (5957yds Par 70 SSS 68) and it has a great variety of par 3's, some par 5's which you could have a go at if you got a really decent drive away, some short "testing" par 4's (with some wicked bunkering!) and a couple of longer par 4's where you really had to hit two terrific shots to get home.
Fairways were in superb condition, plenty of grass on them and well manicured, tees were a little "scruffy" but I think that was more down to the lack of rain that we've had recently. Greens had recently been hollow tined and were still a little "bobbly" but weren't too bad to putt on at all.
Played well, would have won the money had we been playing Stableford (had 36 points, the two mates I played with had 30 each) but we were playing a skins game instead for a change. I won 5, Ray won 5 but Khalid won 8 courtesy of picking 6 up on one hole during the middle of the round. Git!!
Will definitely be going back for another game. As I say, a great bargin at only £10.00 on a Sunday.
