Any tips?

Made the jump from apple yesterday

Impressed so far

Google pay and samsung pay are rubbish compared as Tesco credit card wont support them

Other than that seems all good

Feels weird

My history has been

iPhone 4
5
5s
6s
8

Apple watch

iPad 2
iPad 3

Macbook

Now its Lenovo £100 tablet
No watch
Macbook

Galaxy s10

I've never had any apple products. My other half got an iPad from the kids a couple of years ago and it cost them over £400! I have a Samsung Galaxy which cost just over £100 and does all I want.

I have a Samsung. Dead simple, easy to use. You just have to play around a little bit to get used to it.

I like to get very hands on with tech

I spent last night arranging the apps perfectly to replicate my iphone lol feels like home

Few improvements aswell the dual sim was helpful whilst my number was on a different sim

The pre attached screen protector was a nice touch

Fingerprint scanner not as responsive as the old proper home button was but much bigger screen is good

Had an s10 for a couple of months now, great phone. The size takes some getting used to but it's a fine specimen. I was Samsung for years then got an iPhone 7 on a whim a couple of years back, god its good to be back to Android 😁

I have a work iPhone and a personal Moto G7 on Android.
I much prefer the Motorola to the iPhone. Less restrictive and more flexible.

How good is the g7? Looking at one for my wife

The alexa widget is fantastic on this , in the mornings rather than load the app (I use in the mornings as the echos aren't in the room I get ready) I just press the widget and issue my command

I think it's a great phone for the money. Is actually the G7+ so Battery life is phenomenal and camera is good enough for me.
Slight downside is it doesn't pick up the 5ghz WiFi and I don't think it supports Google Play but I don't use that anyway (although I think the standard G7 does)

Only ever had one apple phone (iphone 4s) terrible platform. Much happier with even basic android in comparison, now on samsung j5

What's the size of the phone like ? My wife doesn't like the size of my phone says too big but the iphone 8 size is what she likes

The Samsung s10e I believe is about that size

What's the g7 like

I had the G4 before this. The G7+ is slimmer and taller so easier to handle. I've seen the big iPhones and it's not like them. It does get excellent reviews. I got it on Tesco mobile. You get one system upgrade with Motorola. It came with Android 9 so I'll get 10 but that will be it.

Oh right is that what all android phones do or just moto ones

Was talking to a pp yesterday. He was on about one of his pals ( who I played with last week for first time). Apparantly he does employment contracts for the government. He has just had 60 folk finish a 2 yr course. They have handed back in ther laptops and phones. He has written them off against tax. He has 60 laptops for sale for £150 and 60 Motorola G4 phones for sale at £20 each.

I think it depends on the manufacturer to be honest. If you have a read up, you will see that some are faster than others, and some give more upgrades than others.
To be honest my Moto G4 had Android 7 on it, and my tablet has Android 6 and for me it really doesn't cause any issues.
I know my company iPhone 5S will not get iOS 13. At which point they may decide to replace it for security reasons.

iPhones are annoying in the sense of you get to a point where they don't upgrade but the apps don't work for the old ones anymore that's when it gets annoying

To be fair, I think that's the same for Android as well. The difference is, I can get a Motorola Android phone new for about £150 so cheaper and easier to upgrade.
I know a lot of my old apps on my iPhone now won't work since it moved to 12. Most of the Android apps are backwardly compatible.
Plus you are so much less "locked in" than with an iPhone and not be committed to iTunes.

Now I have moved to android I feel free because if I want to switch it's so easy to move to another android phone which there are so many

iPhones were getting so expensive for what they are

Fact my iphone 8 was worth £300 at 2 years is just stupid

Are these on offer for us in the forum? In which case could you tell me what make/model the laptops are please?
