Has anybody ever tried this as training aid or something similar

I am considering giving this a go or would try something else similar if anybody has any recommendations. The issue with my swing that I am trying to iron out is that although I set the club well in the backswing I have a bad habit of starting the downswing by straightening my right leg and causing the club to go across the line at the top. This means that all the work I have put in to shortening my swing and turning into a braced right leg is ruined by this stupid move. In case anybody asks - I don't swing over the top and hit a slice - I can still get the club to swing from the inside and my stock shot is a draw. Would like to simplify my swing and am working on this with lessons but thought this might help get the correct feeling ingrained.
