There is another Leffe with a red top and label that was stronger than the brown.

Tried one in Belgium a few Years ago the was 18 % but can’t remember what it’s called!!!

Not sure if they are particularly obscure but recently I've enjoyed

Innis & Gunn Original Oak Aged Beer (6.6%) and

Hog's Back Brewery TEA (Traditional English Ale) (4.2%)

Hog's Back Brewery just up the road from me, and a good ale.

Reading this thread made me really thirsty so I decided to buy some Guinness.....

I went to my local off licence and was met by the following:

Single can of Guinness: £1.05
Six cans: £6.49

:D

Sounds like one of Smiffy's deals.....

I know Wetherspoons has it's critics but at least they do serve a wide variety of beers and there is always something new to try. I can happily go through a gallon and not have two the same. By the way did I mention you're my fuggin best mate you are...hic!

Did some skiing in Wyoming many moons ago and they were serving some great real ales in the bars there from a local brewery, not the usual American lager like Bud/Miller/Michelob/Coors etc.

Best named one, which also tasted pretty good was called 'Moose Drool'. Doubt they export it but if you're ever in the Rockies!

They also do 'Trout Slayer Ale'! ;)

"....Gimme a pint of trout slayer..." - great!
