For those that like a little bit of high octane aircraft footage. Mach Loop is in mid-Wales, and if you're into that sort of thing its well worth a visit. Make a few days of it and stay in Mach.

I've not visited Star Wars canyon but there's some great footage from there - doesn't beat Mach Loop but does tick the boxes for different aircraft.

There's oodles of stuff on YouTube for those interested.

 
Mach Loop is superb viewing if you’re a plane geek . I have been and lucky to have been flown through it as well

Back in the mid 70's I was 3/4 the way up a VS/HVS (pitch) climb, finally sat on top of an overhang when two Buccaneers went past below me. Those guys were so close we got a buffet off their jet wash. It just blew my mind. The flying they were doing was awe inspiring, and the picture in my mind is as clear as day.
 
I play Kington golf course occasionally, it is on the border of Herefordshire and mid Wales, they call it the highest 18 hole course in England. When on the highest part of the course you often get fighter planes zooming just over your head.

I was riding a horse on Dartmoor over Christmas a while ago. We had pretty horrible conditions, with driven snow making it hard for the horses, let alone us, and we had two Tornados fly way below us down in the valley. Odd looking down on aircraft. Awesome though.
 
I only heard about the mach loop a few months ago and it's something I'd love to do/see.

Going to try and plan a day or 2 there next spring.

Played there in March and had a Typhoon come straight toward us on the 17 th tee then pulled the. Stick and went vertical with full power , sound was awesome
