I just started looking for a pair of summer shoes. Something that goes well with shorts, light, breathable, spikeless and comfy an these look like they will fit the bill well.

http://www.adidas.co.uk/crossknit-boost-shoes/Q44684.html

However I am curious to how some more 'traditional' clubs or players will react to them as essentially they are trainers and some folk still don't see that as being acceptable for golf.

Any thoughts on them or the other brands newer sportier styles?

Can't see a problem wearing them anywhere as they are classed as proper golf shoes.
There not for me though, purely on the looks.
I've got a pair of Adicross Gripmore and love them.

I like them. You most prob will get some fool have a go for no reason but if they're golf shoes they're golf shoes.
I wouldn't pay that though, I'd wait until next year and buy them half price when a new model comes out.

Just personally not a fan of them specific ones but they should be accepted anywhere. I have a mental block of going over a ton for shoes that are neither waterproof nor leather.

The Boost models are quality shoes and are extremely comfortable!

Can't see you having any issues unless you play at a stuffy club that won't let you wear trainers in the clubhouse.

They're not waterproof though, which is something to think about.

I will be buying a pair!

Im gonna buy a pair. Boost technology is brilliant imo. The most comfy shoes ive ever worn and back feels better compared with other brands after walking a long course in them.

Not a fan personally and I'm more of a traditionalist and prefer a classic looking shoe. Don't see you'd have any problems apart from the odd member looking to be an idiot and start an argument over nothing especially as they are recognised golf shoes

I got a pair of the 360 tour boosts and was that impressed gotbthem in another colour way the following week. I doubt there is a more comfortable shoe on the market

Shoes should be handmade with leather, metal spikes with tussles on front. Nothing else is acceptable, shoes in question are horrendous

The only concern for anyone else should be that the sole of any shoe doesn't damage the green.

So called traditional golf shoes were the street shoes of their day with spikes added. Everyone I know who likes to be "traditional" in their clobber and shoes base their traditions on the 1950's it seems, which is fair enough as long as they don't impose their traditions on others.

As for the shoes, you can't beat Boost at the moment, nothing comes close for comfort in my opinion whether it's in golf or other footwear, but as always, try them on first

Adidas are making some good shoes these days. Fitting is a problem for me and they come up small in every model. I would buy the 360 Boost Boa but having tried it in 8, which is my standard fit on all shoes including all my FJ's I could barely get my foot in. 8.5 were so tight and 9 were too big. Of all the shoes on the market, and I include FJ, adidas look the best so it's a gutter I can't find something to fit properly.
