Do you go to the range with a specific drill to practice?

Just found this one and it looks like a beauty....

I'm amazed at how much instruction/advice/opinions are out there recorded for posterity.

On one hand it's good as it gives everyone choice, as one mans explanation is another mans mystery:rolleyes:

Would that be hard on the club to be trying that off hard mats on the range , surely the lie or angle of the club (whatever its called) wit be affected if you were hitthing down into a non forgiving matt ?? not dising the tip , just asking

Surely that is a dangerous task for the big hitters as their iron shots will be from the trees and too many roots about the ground , someones gonna do themselves an injury! :D

Did he say you need to ground the club before you hit the ball? I thought the point was to hit the ball first and ground second?

Edit: I misunderstood what he meant. Ignore me.

I have used that drill before but I use a tic tac in front of the ball - sounds weird but it works and a nice minty whiff to the club afterwards :mmm:

No is my answer.
I went to the range last week, because i was crap at the weekend.
My main objective was to get some confidence back, and to try out my
driver that i havnt used for months.
Result-selling driver.

Think you would go through a few tees. I have tried something similar with a chalk line, with the object being to get chalk on the club. Have to clean the clubs afterwards though.
