Hi,

A couple of questions related to shafts.

1. I have a Bay Hill BH3 Driver, bought of ebay for £14 so not a bad buy, but it has a very flexible shaft. When I first started out I was hitting it perfect. Since Ive been getting better all round in my game, my driving has become moer erratic.
I recently played with a Taylor Made Tour Burner 2009 model with a regular shaft and hit every single driver perfect.
I know that that burner is a much better driver but I was hitting them with the burner the same as I was with my BH3 12 months ago.

First question is, is my BH3 shaft just too flexible now and should I look to reshaft it? If so what is a good one to go for?

2. Having looked for Taylor Tour Burner drivers ive found one on ebay, but its just the head and no shaft. What sort of shaft would it be best to get to go for if I got this? How much would I be looking at to get a decent shaft?

As always, thanks for the advice.

I wouldn't reshaft the Bay Hill unless it is a precious club of great sentimental value. Not worth adding cost to it which you will never get back. Cheaper to buy something second hand on ebay.

For the TM, if you can find out the tip size of the shaft needed, you can probably pick up a pulled shaft (one removed from another club) on ebay.

Such as this guy: http://shop.ebay.co.uk/seears51/m.html

This can be tricky because the shafts are not always removed properly and may get damaged. Or you can have your pro get one for you, second hand or new. Plenty of cheapish good quality graphite shafts around, such as from this site Golf. They have this Grafaloy shaft at £34

That is a good quality shaft of medium flex which would get the ball up well.
