A bit of a surprise...

I walk through the door from work tonight to be confronted by the wife, holding a DHL bag with a look that could burn a hole straight through a 6ft thick block of lead!

"What have you ordered!!"

Bemused, I think for a second, then reply

"Nowt..... I don't think"

"Good", she replies, "Because I've brought you this" and then hands me the DHL bag.

By now I'm a little confused and, to be honest couldn't think of anything I wanted or needed in fact.

I open the bag to this:

She got me ,as and early fathers day present ( ), a limited edition IJP putter cover that was designed to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Dreamflight charity, with all proceeds from the cover going to the charity.

I have to say, although I didn't choose it, it is absolutely fantastic. Really, really well made, magnetic closure and a small ball marker. I really like the design too, despite my wife saying it reminds her of the Care Bears (.... Who ever they are?)

I asked her

"Why have you got me this? There's nowt up with the cover I have (.... Stock Bettinardi)"

To which I got an answer only a wife could give.

"I don't like that one, and besides, this one matches the new grip on your putter"

I then tried to explain I have to take the cover off to putt :rofl:






That's when the look that can melt a block of lead returned

Davey. I can't stress how well made it feels. I have a few pairs of IJP tartans and they are really good quality too. Seems to be quite common with things he puts his name to.

Just had a look on his site and he has a few others on there that look pretty neat.

I recently ordered an IJP belt buckle. They mistakenly sent me that very putter cover and I can vouch for just how lovely and well made it is. I would have loved to have kept it but I'm not like that and besides it doesn't fit my No7. Lovely gift to have and nice of HID to think of something like that....Ooo I'm welling up!
