One of our senior members playing of 15 was level par after 9 holes on saturday, said it was the best he had played in many years. 10 over on the back nine for a 81 (par71) Pretty good for a guy who must be a lot nearer 70 than 60 years old.

Hi I'm off 18.6 but that's only my second submission of cards since I started playing. Now that I play three times a week I'm probably around 12-14 but when I know a scorecard for hc is involved I tend to do worse.

A great dose of luck was certainly involved and I think everything good could happen in 2011 did happen yesterday.

I made 3 birdies (lost a massive eagle opportunity on a par 5, it would have been the first eagle of my life and my arms simply went jelly...), 5 bogeys and 1 double bogey.

Btw I was playing off the whites, not the blacks.

Yes I was planning to submit new cards next weekend. Having said so, I'm the same person who went around the very same course in 96 just two weeks ago. I know it would have not counted for hc purposes but in that occasion I took two 10s, one on a par 5 and one on a par 4.

As I said, I feel my game is improving and better than what numbers say but Sunday it was really my perfect day.
