tin full this morning so i opened it and the total is 300 squid, cool what to buy -shiney shiney - lessons- or a 22 carat diamond encrusted V easy?????

my other tin does my muni season ticket, this is my joining fee(dont know what course) tin for year 2014 (the same year i become captain of my existing club) mmmmmm contraversial

I had an old champagne bottle that I used to fill with £1 coins, one of these big huge bottles. Anyway after 6 months I noticed it was not going as well as I had hoped despite depositing numerous £1 coins down its neck.

That's when the wife burst to occasionally "using"it! Probably to the tune of £300 odd quid!

a pal used to take pound coins out his brothers bottle (he worked away months at a time), when he was due back he went to the bank to top it back up. 600 squid it took to refill. he never did it again

Any ideas which course you will be gracing with your presence ?

building up to emailing clubs for fees etc. but made my mind up that a defo want to join a better COURSE . our captain and our vice captain (me) played the kintyre on wednesday and had a long discussion about it. but my argument was at least every fairway turf etc is the same on a proper course. ours is built on a dump!!!!!!

We have a pot for £1's which I tend to rob if I'm going to a local range and another large plastic coke bottle for all our other shrapnel. We emptied it last year and there was about £200 in 5, 10, 20 and 50p pieces. Funny how it can soon mount up

If its any help our annual fees are just over £800 and joining fee of £1200. You can normally pay the joining fee in a couple of installments over the course of the first year.

Filled a large bells whiskey bottle with coppers etc to the tune of £120!! Took a few years but did it, nearly killed me carrying it to the coin star !!!

west kilbride is about the same money for first year (dont like the course) largs is 1000 first year but not played it yet

Every night I empty my pockets and any £1 or £2 coins go into a box. By the end of the year there is always enough to pay my golf subs. This year I managed to save £960!

We collect £2 coins and keep these in a jar in the bedroom. It's surprising how much you accumulate. I am so used to collecting them that any £2 coins I get go into a different pocket from my other shrapnel. We empty it out once a year just before our anniversary and last year we had £420. Most of it was mine mind. I might include £1 from now on and start my own jar like Clive and pay for a membership.

Not being fooled with that one again. The box that I was encouraged to save my odd shillings in as a young lad, turned out to be the gas meter!
