What a strange day yesterday, started off with a birdie and proceeded to ding two holes, birdie the 4th. So have 8 points (S.I. helped) managed to ding another 3 in the next 6 holes and ended up with 33 points. I didnt know whether to laugh or cry. Anyone else have a strange weekends golf?
After such a wierd round, Im not sure what to expect this week, Ive a practice match in a local club, play Baltray (held the Irish open last month)on Friday and a couple of rounds on Saturday and Monday (my Captains day in the society).

This is exactly why I don't like birdies. They upset my rhythum, and are always followed by trebles.

Steady pars, that is what you need.

I know how you feel Brendy, I was playing in a stroke competition on Saturday and I had a birdie 3 followed by a "10" on a par 4. Played great the rest of the round and finished with a nett 73.

I'm having the opposite trouble. I'm making plenty of pars and putting to save par but whenever I hit a green in regulation I'm not making any. I have a feeling it has to change soon though. I'm avoiding train crash 10's but have managed to rack up a couple of big doubles that have ruined recent cards.

Still where's the fun in playing par golf?

Dammit, missed the buffer zone, all the good work dropping .4 and ive managed to gain .2 in the last two weeks. Still, better than the start of the year so hopefully still plenty of time to get down towards my target.
