With a strange shining orb in the sky yestdrday, I was in a mood for a bit of a swing. However, did not have the time to play 18 holes, so we decided to play 9 holes instead. Our course has a 9 hole Par 33 course alongside the 18. This was the course I learnt my golf, but havent played it in over a year. Not a great start, with me triple bogieing the opening 127y P3.

But started recovering after that. It was interesting to see how different my game is from the early days. Holes that I used to take my driver are now in my iron range.

On the 4th P3 180y downhill, it used to be a driver when I started then a few months later a 3w and so on.. Yesterday, my 5i flew past the flag.

On the 5th, we have bunkers on the dogleg. When I started and watched the others aim for it, I would wonder if I will EVER be able to drive that far. How times have changed when the 5i laid short of it and then pitch-putt-putt for par.

Great day out and finished with a score of 40. It was very nostalgic to play the course that you 'grew up on'. She was very kind to me, but I could see what a difference a year of golf can do to your game. When was the last time people paid a visit to their old flames and how did it go??
