Take which ever you feel most comfortable with.
One for off the tee, a mid-iron which you can hit varied shots with, and either a wedge or putter.

My BIL and I played 9 with just a wedge and a putter. We were both surprised by the progress (and scores) made.

put the onus on the golfer to manufacture the shot without having the perfect club
through swing speed,gripping down ,shaping the shot,opening the clubface changing the loft and "cutting one up", moving ball backwards in stance to deloft the club etc
and of course....course management
when we played it we played it mixed 3 ball (1 woman) alternate shot & "cross country" too
2nd tee to 3rd green over the trees etc was great fun

I'd probably go for a rescue/5 wood, 7 iron and wedge. Putt with the rescue or even blade the wedge.
Never played it but would love to. I think we have a comp at some point in the year for this type of format.

depends upon the rules, some state 1 club must be a putter.
others have 3 clubs and a putter.
great fun game and at times a laugh.

Cross country another good game to play. Helps if the course is quite for it tho
I like it but only enough to play it once a year in a social 9 holes comp. We make it 3 clubs + putter so I usually go 3 wood, 6 iron and wedge
