How?
We had something similar with incorrect shots given in a Daily mail foursomes comp and were told that the result stood.
I understand it was referred to the County union and advice was that the calculator had misled both parties but was not binding - and it was on the team with a capped handicap to be aware of the rule and they had essentially declared a handicap that was too high which is a DQ. But the result was already recorded so not 100% sure and I wasn’t party to these emails or conversations…
However what was agreed by club, and both parties, was to replay… However as no suitable date could be offered by 1 party, they gave the others a walkover.
Personally, btw, I’d be taking it on the chin. If we shake hands and agree X number of shots on the 1st tee, I’m honouring that - whether it was incorrect or not, the match was played in good faith.
