2010 Ryder Cup. My place is booked!

Just had an email through confirming that I've been accpeted as a safety volunteer for the duration of the tournament in 2010.

Absolutely no idea of what will be involved or where I'll be, (probably in the furthest car park away from the course ) BUT I'll still be there.

£50 to confirm registration but this is refunded at the tournament along with some refreshments and vouchers to spend.

now, all i've got to do is speak to the boss and get the week off (luckily I'm the boss!) so shouldn't be a problem.

Just thought I'd share the news, absoulutely no gloating involved - I promise.

That sounds a real experience, I guess you will have a chance to catch some of the action. A nice spot round the 18th with a 'quiet' sign would be pretty sweet..

The jelous ommeter is going through the roof here hope you get a good spot ,have put in for tickets in the online ballot ,as much chance of getting as finding a hen with a full set of teeth.

I'm pretty jealous. I'd quite like a cushy number maybe on the practice ground so that once the games start I could sneak off until the players come back to loosen up for the afternoon session. Otherwise a nice job on a green somewehre near the end so I could see some of the matches climaxing or turning one way or the other. Have a great time and let give us a guide to the build up etc
