Well I thought i would have a crack at re gripping my own clubs and to my surprise went like a dream! My club pro said he would do it for £2 per club which to me seems very fair but i figured if i re grip evey year well by the time i cark it i will have saved a few quid! to sum it up very happy and if anyone wants any advice feel free to ask.

It's not that difficult once you've done a few.
Just a few things to watch out for...

  • Make sure the grip is lined up properly and not twisted
  • Check each grip with the orthers to make sure you haven't stretched it (easily done)
  • Make sure the grip is fully on by tapping the end of the club on the floor to make sure there's no gap between the end of the club and the end of the grip

£2 to get a professional to professionally grip your clubs, no brainer, it's £7.50 round here.

I do have a set of older mizuno tour pro's I want to get regripped and fancy having a go though.

I regripped my new putter myself recently and found it a really enjoyable and satisfying thing to do. it meant I could choose my own Odyssey las Vegas grip to add a touch of bling.

hardest bit was making sure it was perfectly square.... amazing how man expensive putters I pick up in shops have wonky grips

I'm in the do it myself and enjoy camp. I have a wee area of the shed set up with a vice etc and I find it quite nice just to sit and do them. I also use the same area for cleaning and polishing so it's like my own wee golfing space at home.

We only charge £1.00 per club to regrip...... If you provide the grips or buy them from us.

Its a simple enough job, unless your trying to save the grips. only then is it a pain.

Ya not wrong! tried to get off some jumbo grips without damage waist of time! cut them off in the end!
