1 hour to go...

Afternoon Guys,

In 1 hour I will leave the office and start a new job within the bank on the road. My office will be in London but to be honest I will be on the road 90% of the time...

As im a brummie boy and have only played locally I will look to take advantage of the nights away when I can finish up and play golf all over the UK so please expect the odd random where to play in Preston,Glasgow,Somerset etc threads. I will be living out of hotels and will preferebly be in the ones with courses attached.

Its the job I have always wanted and although HID lets me get a lot of golf in compared to some friends I will be free to play every evening now

Im sure it sounds good Davey, but everyone I know that has lived a similar life has soon tired of it........

Enjoy the summer with lots of free time to play, but come October, you'll be cursing every damn night away that you have locked in a strange Hotel in some nameless city.

IMO of course.

i was the same when i became the contracts manager for a national building company,great at first but after 8 months of living out of a suitcase and not having a home life had to call it a day,hope it works out for you and if your staying in hotels with courses why not get a de vere membership it could save you a fair bit of wedge.

Yeah i agree. I worked in edinburgh for 3 monta and was crawling the hotel walls by the end of it. Didnt play golf then though!

Hope it works out. Wouldn't be for me but if you can get some golf in with clients or your own firm then happy days. Even a cheeky solo green fee somewhere on a summers evening can't be all bad
