£20 promotion voucher at Direct Golf

Went to use my £20 voucher at Direct Golf today and chose 2 cleveland wedges and went to pay and was told by the young assistant I couldn't use the voucher as there was already a discount on the clubs. Looking round nearly everything they sell has some sort of offer on it so it doesn't leave much choice. I didn't buy them so went online when I got home and bought the same 2 clubs with my voucher for £2 less and free delivery. Just wondering weather to write to the store and ask why but I probebly can't be bothered.

probably something to do with the fact that you were being served by the "young assistant" - likely doesn't have any authority to exercise common sense, or any common sense to exercise authority...

if you had got the manager i imagine you would have been fine.

Think this is correct. Never had a problem when I have used the discount vouchers, and also got the same online deal when I bought my irons. Did you go to the store in Farnborough trevor ?

Yes, Farnborough store. Your probebely right about the manager but when he said that I just thought "sod it" I won't buy them but by the time I had got home realized I still wanted them.

An yes...but surely by the time they arrived, be it a day, a week or a fortnight...they next greatest ever wedge will be out...so you'll be out of date! That's wh you need to buy clubs from the stores, immediately, without discount! So you can play the best gear and practice till next weeks fad comes out...

Brought a Skycaddie from the Farnborough store on my way home last year. It was already discounted to £129 and they let me use the free £10 off voucher as well. Very nice store and the staff were very helpful. I just wish they would stop sending me promotional texts though.
