Hmmm just noticed your signature re the long drive. You'd be best having a chat with the pro about length of the range - I'd guess at about 275 yards long so fine for most but if you're a big hitter it might not be quite long enough for you. Not sure where would be at that length tbh.

I've stopped going to the range as I was just smashing balls for the sake of it. I'm lucky in that there is an indoor facility fairly close to home so I can go and use a GC2 for just £10 an hour. I tend to go for an hour or 2 and will play the courses to get my practice.

I played the Brabazon yesterday and I guess we were lucky. Tee time off 9.30am and finished just after 2pm. This includes a stop at the halfway house and fishing my pp's trolley out of the lake to the rear of the 3rd green!!! Good job is wasn't very deep here as he was a bit of a drama queen so...

I've been using them for the last few months and have found them pretty durable. I've scuffed a couple recently but I think that's from hitting trees. No splits in any though. I generally get a couple of rounds out of one of these and have been stocking up on them recently.

It's the GC2 HMT. Cost was just £20 for the hour after I'd paid the £20 membership fee (seemed a no brainer to join). Played the Emirates and then spent 10 mins practicing driving on the 1st at Blue Monster. I'll definitely be going back.

I had a go here this morning for an hour. Membership fee (optional) was £20 which gets you a £10 reduction on the session. After 2 visits the membership fee has paid for itself. Really enjoyed it and will probably go once a month or so as I thought it better than the range - for me anyway...

This will probably be Golfers Choice - national custom fit centre for quite a few brands. I get a my clubs from them and they have the GC2 simulator as used on sky sports. Website is www.golferschoice.co.uk I would highly recommend them.
