    Molinari, Harrington & Donald

Re: Molinari, Harrington & Donald Personally, I'd have picked casey over harrington. That said, every player knows what they have to do to qualify and if you don't get in automatically, you have no right to expect a wild card. I don't buy into the notion that you merit a wilcard more...

Tiger - could it be about to get worse?

The injunction relates to the publication of any photos that might appear of Tiger without any clothes on or up to no good with one of his chicks, does it not?

Why Is Monty Picking on Poulter ?

Laurence Donegan doesn't seem to have any time for him either, and he can't help but let his dislike colour some of his articles (though not necessarily this one). Not a great thing for a journalist. Monty is probably a pretty difficult guy and I do worry about his captaincy a wee bit. But...

Wie Emphasizes College More Than Golf

I have no idea what Gulbis and Creamer had done by age 19 but even if she's achieved less than them, that doesn't make it a disaster. For every 1 who has achieved more than her by that age, there are probably 1,000 who have achieved less. I think you need to put it in perspective and look at...

Wie Emphasizes College More Than Golf

No, she hasn't. But my point is, who has, at that age? She's achieved more than almost all golfers have achieved before they're 20, and more than most will achieve in their entire career, which surely means that she has had a pretty decent career to date.

Wie Emphasizes College More Than Golf

So far her career has been pretty successful, I would say. Firstly, she is made for life financially. Such security must be priority number 1. Secondly, in terms of playing achievements, she has played very well in a Solheim Cup and has managed a couple of pretty high finishes, including...

    Gleneagles Queens Course...

It's a lovely course. Front 9 is harder than the back 9 but it's not difficult overall and very enjoyable to play. The food in the clubhouse is pretty average and very expensive. I think a burger and chips was about £15.

    Still open to persuasion

Rather than looking at one or two bad shots here or there, look at Goosen and Scott's stroke averages, bearing in mind the tracks that they play on, and compare these averages to your own. In addition, if I was 30 yards off line with a 9 iron, I would probably have a better chance of double...

    Open countdown: Turnberry course changes

Augusta is a nice, pretty golf course. But the aesthetic beauty of a golf course is more about the surroundings than the actual course itself, taking examples nearer to home, Gleneagles Queens and Boat of Garten are lovely courses but it's the views all around that make them such great places...

So, people on here slate Tiger.....

The worst thing anybody seems to have to say about him is that he spits. Big deal. Other players probably do it as well but they don't have a camera on them constantly, following their every move. Same with the occasional outburst after a bad shot. Big deal. who doesn't do that? I don't...

    Any Motherwell fans here ?

I don't think he's quite that bad. There was a nasty incident where he was convicted of assault for decking a guy at a nightclub. Got a fair amount of press coverage up here and he didn't come out of it looking too clever, to be honest. I think he got assaulted or robbed at gunpoint while he...

    Any Motherwell fans here ?

Not a Motherwell fan but I do watch a lot of Scottish football. A decent enough defender but he's never really stood out when I've seen him. If I remember rightly, he seems to attract a bit of trouble off the field as well. Don't expect a world beater. Comparing him to the other scots...

    Mizuno Mx-200 Irons... Recommended?

I suppose different irons will suit different players. I tried several sets, including MX200s, and found that Ping G10s were far and away my favourites. Much more forgiving and consistent than any of the others I tried.

    Ping G5i Craz-e Putter / Mizuno MX-15 Irons

I don't have the technical know how to put a pic up easily. I'm happy for anybody who wants to come and have a look but if you're not in the Glasgow area, that would be difficult. They're in decent condition. Using the Golfbidder ratings, I'd say Heads - 6 (generally, although the 3 and 4...

Why is golf so expensive in England?

Golf is not that cheap in central Scotland. At my club, I pay about £650 a year (although the facilites are good and there are two courses) However, compared to about £240 for Boat of Garten and less than £400 for Nairn Dunbar, it does seem expensive. A lot does seem to depend on geography.
