This is why I like being a high handicapper - I would never be so bold as to blame my equipment for a bad shot or round. It is always my fault!! I play with some fake Callaways and love them, and my £30 square headed driver hits the ball further than my mates £200 driver (sometimes).

I was given a cheap one from Amazon last christmas, and is OK round 18 but don't reckon it would last 36. I wouldn't recommend it.

In over 30 years of playing Golf, I have never hit a hole in one, and have never been playing with some one when they have hit one. I was wondering if this was nomal? However, I have holed my 2nd on a par 5 for an albatros, but unfortunately, I was playing on my own, so no-one witnessed it :(

Last week I went out in 41 (6 over) but came back in 52 (16 over). Must be something to do with our handicaps!!(I am 21)

Had an email from my mate, and is quite apologetic, and wants to give me full handicap difference next week. Phew, thank goodness for that! Needless to say, he is going down the range tomorrow evening in preparation. Me thinks I might have shaken a hornets nest now!!

A chap I know was pulled up in a club match for grounding his club in a bunker. He was actually using his club to lift the rake handle up to save walking in the bunker to get it!! A correct call,ofcourse, but was it really necessary? I do think sometimes the game is taken too seriously!!
