I always struggled with my driver until this year , the local pro told me to try the Mizuno St rage, I bought the Mizuno St 190 and I have never driven the ball so well, sometimes still hit bad drive but the consistency is so much better.
I picked a 2nd hand one up from Ebay for £150.
I am going up on Friday with my wife, her first experience of a golf tournament, hopefully its a great day . I would have thought Mel Reid would have been the better choice. Only time will tell.
I recently bought the big max dry lite golf bag, as I wanted to give up my trolley. Its a great bag and very light to carry, also waterproof.
I'm 42 and don't have a problem carrying the bag for 18 holes, also my course is quite hilly . I actually found it harder pushing the trolley than I do...
Hi All,
looking for some recommendations, looking for a light stand bag as I have reduced the number of clubs I am using now to 9 so no need to use a trolley and cart bag.
The perfect option would have been a pencil bag but none of them come with waterproof hood.
I have looked at the Big Max...
I am playing the PGA course on Sunday as part of the fourball deal, when I booked the fourball in February there was no restrictions in place and had the possibility of booking on 3 courses. Looking forward to it , as I have never played any of the courses.
I have the 5-pw, 3 hybrid and the driver in HTX , like Reemul I got fitted for mine and a fraction of the cost of other brands and the components of clubs are excellent quality and great for a beginner .
I use the Benross HTX driver and have no complaints , the shaft in the driver is a Kuro kage and top notch. a few friends have tried and dont notice any difference to there top branded drivers
I left my club this year and I just notified them by email, no problem at all.
Like previous post have said is just good manners, however I would always notify any membership I hold for sporting activity to let them know I was leaving and why.
Hi Fairway Dodger,
I have friends that are members at Mar Hall and it holds the water really well , they played last weekend and there no issues it was relatively dry.
Its a decent course , try to go out in the morning if possible and it does get busy in the afternoon.
Cheers Jacko, been a member for 4 years. Its always in great condition, I know a lot of the members have complained about the course being a bit boring and lack of par 3 & par 5' s holes.
Dont actually mind the 1st & the 5th Holes, I hate the 16th, think it should be a par 5.
Thanks for the responses guys, yeah Renfrew is very poor these days, I have few friends that have left this season due to being unplayable.
Mar Hall again can be a nightmare on Saturdays as well if you go out after 12:00, can be a 5 hour round.
I might just have to stay at Erskine.
Cheers
Hi.. I was wondering if any of the Scottish contingent have recently played Gleddoch Golf Course.
I am thinking of joining up next year , I am currently a member at Erskine , however this season on competition days it has taken anything between 4 to 5 1/2 hours to play a 2 ball.
With having a...
