I did that once at my old club.......what made it more embarassing was that the scores were shown on a live TV screen above the bar! I was a new member at the time but suffice to say, I never did it again!!!! :p:p:p
Interesting thing about the Trackman data for me was the peak height comparisons. I have read before that all clubs should have similar peak heights but always wondered how close they should be - those stats confirmed it is actually very similar throughout the bag.
As someone who hits the ball...
I meant its terminal. As in final, dead, deceased!!!
And yes, Neilds, afraid I did remember the switch. Spoke to a guy who repairs and serices them and he thinks its the battery. Not paying £250 for a new one on a trolley that is quite old anyway, so have just ordered a new one
Carried through the winter months, but yesterday was forecast to be the best day of the year so plugged in my powakaddy battery and all it does is flash red and green on the charger.
Think it might be terminal 😫😫😫😫😫😫
Interesting to read the debate about distance compensating for "being good".
I am almost 62, played since my late 30's, always been reasonably fit, but at 8.9 I am at my lowest HI (did get to 8.2 last year but was never single figures until 2025) yet have lost some driver distance. Now average...
Something that might help for the future is that my grand daughter has been driving almost a year, after passing her test at 17.
She has an Toyota Aygo. First year premium was £1100 with a black box. Renewal has just come through at c £400 without black box requirement, rewarding her driving...
First post........i am not convinced this can be true.
Which club? And is this in terms of a discounted membership fee, as surely any competitions need to be in line with county recommendations?
I play in a seniors inter club league, wouldnt fancy our chances if we couldn't pick anyone under 67!!!
Yes, I was in Credit Risk & more latterly Internal Audit, moving from NAC. Retired at 55 in 2019, luckily just before COVID changed everything!
Moved up North then, so don't see my old work colleagues much these days.
A lot of watching others and walking up and down too....and the action they coach is actually more like bowling, they don't encourage sliding.......knees on the ice cause it to heat up and melt. and is a no no. Obviously they allow the olympians to do that!
Tried it a few months ago (there is a great facility at The Flower Bowl near Preston if anyone is interested - one of the few real ice curling rinks in England).
It is bloody hard. We all struggled to get the stones to reach the house, let alone achieve any real accuracy. Bloody good fun though...
Don't new rules mean all golf clubs will have to have water collection/storage facilities soon?
Believe there are going to be restrictions on using mains water. We have just installed a big water storage tank and know other courses nearby have done something similar.
I have a powacaddy trolley, but have never had a powacaddy bag. The vast majority of bags have a base that enables it to be locked onto the trolley.
I have a Big Max bag now, and it has the necessary base. I would check before you limit yourself to powacaddy bags.
