    LIV Golf

Can this be right, or am I reading it incorrectly? 43.3m play golf on a 9 or 18 hole course.....but 108m play golf. Surely TopGolf, driving ranges, Sims etc cannot account for 66m people saying they "play golf"?

Thanks very much Ken, hope you are all well and have a great Christmas. Yes, always sad to lose a dog. It's one of my friend's daughters who is only 19 - she had him since she was a young kid, so its been hard for her as he was such a big part of her life.

Haven’t posted on here lately partly because this year has been fairly quiet in terms of commissions. Just finished this one for a friend whose daughter sadly lost her dog recently. This one is done in pastel pencil.

TV Series - What Are You Watching?

Liz Sladen......loved her in Dr Who in my teens, :giggle: so sad that she died young.

    Random Irritations

That's interesting....ours is actually being reduced from £45 to £30 as part of the nationwide changes to recycling and waste collection. This is apparently an attempt to encourage more to recycle garden waste, it will still be collected fortnightly (although there are changes to other recycling...

    SPOTY 2025

Errr...excuse me, what is sexist about what I said, I suggested her team mate was more deserving as she played every game and contributed far more.

    Golf Random Irritations

Both St Anne's Old Links & Lytham have land, sand dunes and houses between the course and the sea, so no sea views at all. On the Fylde Coast it is only my own club, Fleetwood, which is adjacent to the sea & beach, but even there the sea is not always fully visible due to the sea defence wall. ;)

    Comp rounds to enter “majors”

Strange philosophy to me, entering a competition but not trying to win . If your aim is just to play your best against the course, then you might as well just play a social round and save the entry fee.

    SPOTY 2025

Yes, come on as a sub, missed a penalty but managed to score the rebound. If she wins its a travesty - if the Beeb want to give it to a woman then surely Hannah Hampton deserves it more than Kelly - at least she saved some penalties!!!

    Golf Random Irritations

He would do very well to see the sea from St Anne's Old Links! He would need to fly his drone to do so

    Waterproof jacket and trousers recommendations

Our pro shop is stocking this brand now, it’s Galvin Green prices…..about £300 + for jacket & trousers. Look good though.

    The Footie Thread

To be fair, i hadn't heard of Curacao & New Caledonia :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: Felt better when they said the population of some of these qualifiers/playoff teams were (1) The size of Cardiff, and (2) The size of Reading. What has the World Cup come to

    YouTubers.

I do think this might become a bigger issue as more people fancy filming a round and maybe joining the growing band of YT golfers. I have seen a few filming at our course. Yes, some were absolutely fine, including Peter Finch & Matt Fryer, both of whom had an obviously competent cameraman which...

Anyone got a breakmaster+ and use it?

Yes, exactly. though to be fair, the Tour Read app also mentioned above, seems to do all that for you, and averages a couple readings over the length of a putt. Does look like a handy device to test your green reading, having watched the video, but dont think Ill be shelling out £100 for a...
