jon,whatever course you join there will be idiots and cliques but most will be descent golfers after a game.don't let the idiots put you off, if its local stick with it there must be a descent bunch you can get a game with.sounds like your h/c is way to high but enter every comp it will soon...
there loads of leaves on the course i play,do you guys have the same problem?thought about useing my mini vac on them to get rid,if everyone else did this they wouldnt be a problem.what do you think?
i too have used a sg5 for the last 3 months,every one i have played with and asked how far do you think they drived were surprised to find out they didnt hit it 280-300 more like 220-240,ok you can melt the odd one 280.you only have to look at the pros average driving distances theres is 280/300...
try wellinborough ,kibworth both take 2fore1or corby 18 pound at weekend bit busy though.give stoke ago as ive said good for the beginner and you wont lose any balls there.
played it today nqt,loads better in area,a new course ,condition wise ok ,fairly short good for the beginner,thick rough makes up for the lack of trees and the green can be abit tricky.wouldnt want to play it every week but ok for a quick knock.
